The Jackson guitar company is owned by Grover Jackson. They started with the creation of the ‘Rhoads’ V guitar that was originally designed and also used by famous artists ‘Randy Rhoads’. This one guitar model inspired Grover to begin the Jackson guitar company. Jackson manufactured guitars in California from 1979 to 1986, when it merged with IMC (International Music Corporation). Later, they moved to Ontario, California.
In the 2002 Fall, Fender Corporation bought Jackson Guitars and after that the operations moved to Corona, California. Now, Fender manufactures guitars that are exactly the original Jackson guitars.
